Haqooq A4M is dedicated to supporting individuals with a diverse range of challenges, including learning disabilities, neurodiversity, physical disabilities, and complex profound disabilities. We design and deliver tailored programmes within Special Educational Needs (SEN) settings, including Specialised Inclusive Learning Centres (SILCs), Resourced Provisions in mainstream schools, Specialised Free Schools, Special Academies, and post-16 SEN provisions. Our work also extends to partnerships with supported living providers, community hubs, libraries, and various organisations to run short-term, funded projects that focus on specific outcomes and community needs. We are regularly invited to offer specialist training, consultancy, and bespoke workshops.
At the heart of our approach is the use of traditional cultural arts as a tool for education, personal growth, and community engagement. Our programmes incorporate a wide range of creative disciplines, including classical dance, Rangoli art, stagecraft, live performances, jewellery making, stage and cultural makeup, and the exploration of traditional musical instruments from around the world. These activities not only foster collaboration, creativity, and social skills but also promote positive mental health, emotional well-being, and physical development.
Our focus on dance provides an accessible and enjoyable way for participants to engage in regular physical exercise, improving mobility, coordination, and overall fitness. This approach supports both physical and mental health outcomes, helping individuals manage stress, build resilience, and improve self-esteem. For those with physical disabilities or complex needs, activities are adapted to ensure inclusivity, so everyone can participate at their own pace and ability.
We create bespoke, personalised programmes that recognise the unique strengths, needs, and aspirations of each individual. Whether someone requires tailored one-on-one support or thrives in group settings, our approach ensures that everyone has the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed.
A key feature of our work is the opportunity for participants to showcase their talents through public performances, which not only celebrate their achievements but also serve to enrich the wider community. Performing in front of an audience builds confidence, raises aspirations, and provides a sense of accomplishment. These events also foster community cohesion, celebrate cultural diversity, and create shared moments of pride and connection.
To recognise progress and encourage continued development, we integrate nationally recognised Arts Awards alongside our own in-house qualifications, offering participants the chance to celebrate their achievements and work towards meaningful goals.
Our previous HLF-funded projects with individuals with learning disabilities have featured culturally rich experiences such as Ghazals, Rangoli, and Rajasthani Dance, reflecting our commitment to using the arts as a powerful tool for inclusion, empowerment, and community engagement.
